I am so excited about what God is doing through our prayer meetings. There are at least two really awesome testimonies that have developed as a result. The stories aren't totally complete yet. But I'm eager for when those will be shared with the whole church. Our prayer this morning was that we would be pregnant with the Love of God. Josh was really pressing into this word. It's been lingering on the outside of our prayers for a while but today it was central.
When I think about being pregnant with God's love I'm impressed by a need for us to be receptive. This was something we prayed on last week as well. I've been so impressed by the receptivity of Philip the evangelist who spoke to the Ethiopian Eunuch in Acts 8. He is led by the Spirit to share the gospel with a man he doesn't know and then the Spirit just takes him and moves him to a different city. The book doesn't say that Philip got bent out of shape about it. He started preaching the Gospel. That's an open spirit. He was willing to be used. He didn't have any plans that were being ruined by the Spirit moving him. His plan was to follow the Spirit. We've got to have hearts that are primarily set on seeing the love of God birthed in our lives if we really want to be pregnant with his Love. It takes that heart of Mary who prayed, "Let it be to me according to your word."
